What does Luxury Firm mean? Luxury Firm is not as soft as a plush, but not as hard as a firm. A luxury firm bed will not allow the sleeper to sink through the padding layers, but will offer enough conformance to cushion pressure points. Ideal for stomach and back sleepers, luxury firm beds will please those who like a firmer feel, but also want a bit of softness.

Latex vs. Memory Foam: Latex is immediately responsive, similar to innerspring mattresses. It is also cooler and better ventilated than memory foam, but still provides the superior pressure relief.
7" Dura-Core: This is the supportive layer of the mattress. It is 7" of zoned Dunlop latex, which always returns to it's original shape and offers exceptional support and durability.
Talalay Latex Comfort Layers: The top 3" of this mattress are Talalay Latex. Talalay is natural latex, which is hypoallergenic, anti-microbial, and odor-free. It provides softness and pressure relief, cushioning your hip and shoulder for less tossing and turning.
Edge-To-Edge Latex: The Essence is manufactured with latex from edge to edge of the mattress. There's no polyurethane edging. This means that you can sleep right on the edge of the bed and still get the same great support and comfort as if you were sleeping in the center.
